How to Dye Hair with Kool-Aid

Hi everybody!!! today I have a really cool tutorial I am dying to show you ... haha get it cuz we are dyeing our hair... ;) Ok! So as you can tell we are dying are hair, but not just with ordinary dye... but with KOOL-AID! Yeah it’s kind of weird to think you can dye your hair with Kool-Aid, but actually it turns out pretty good and leaves you’ re hair smelling really yummy!

This is what you need:
For starters you will need rubber gloves unless you don’t care if your hands are colourful for a week or two. Then you will need some conditioner, if you are wondering the amount you will need, it all depends on how much dye you are planning to make. If you are planning to make allot of dye to cover all your hair, use allot of conditioner and for example you just wanted to dye just your bangs then you should probably just use a bit of conditioner. And don’t worry about what you are adding it to yet because I will get to that question later… Next grab a tooth brush or paintbrush or any kind of brush that you can use to apply the dye to your hair. Also make sure you wear a crappy pair of clothes so you don't mess your nice ones up, obviously. And even though I wear crappy clothes when I'm doing this, I still put a towel over my shoulders. Then the next thing you are going to need is tinfoil and a shower cap or just a grocery bag to cover your hair with after your done applying the dye. Then you should be good to go! :)

How to prepare:
In this tutorial I don't really think there is much to do for preparing to dye your hair, but I do for sure know one main thing. So before dyeing your hair, wait like maybe 5 days. I know that's going to suck but I guess your just supposed to like wait until all of the chemicals are out of your hair so that the dye soaks into your hair properly. And make sure you don't buy the kind of kool-aid that changes colour because I've done this a couple of times and it does not turn out very good, but you Will notice that the kool-aid has changed colour while you are making the dye. It would also be a good idea to cover the floor around you with newspaper or whatever so that if you drop some dye it wont stain. And just one more thing before you start cut up even strips of tinfoil and set them aside.

So to start obviously put your junky, old clothes on then pour the kool-aid packet or packets into a plastic cup or container that your parents don't really care if it gets wrecked. Next add the conditioner and mix it in.add more conditioner if you want more dye. This is the time when you will notice the dye will change colour if it is the kind of kool-aid that changes colour. If you got the kind of kool-aid that does not change colour than ignore the last sentence :P . Ok if you think you have enough dye and its mixed evenly you can take your toothbrush or paintbrush or whatever kind of object you want to use to apply the dye to your hair and apply a thick even amount then cover it tight with a strip of tinfoil.Once your done Id say leave the tinfoil in for at least 5 or 6 hours. I usually keep mine in over night but i also usually never get any sleep :D .

To finish take the tinfoil out and rinse your hair, but only with water and NO shampoo or conditioner. This should last about a week or two. Comment and let me know if this worked for you and send me a picture. Thanks for subscribing and commenting. I hope you liked it and make sure to suggest more cool tutorials and requests! BI :D

Newspaper Print Nails

For this next tutorial I will be doing another nail art tutorial. I personally love this one, not only because it looks great but everybody wants to know how you did it just because it’s so detailed. It gives the effect of copying a design/image and pasting it on the nail. It really physics your friends.

To get started you will need a light colored nail polish. Usually I prefer white or a very light grey for the base coat. The next thing you will need is a sheet or two of news paper. I’d make sure that the news paper has lots of letters and words on it instead of pictures. You should also have a clear coat or a top coat. You don’t always need a clear coat but I always, always use a clear coat just because I find the polish last longer and it adds a little shine too. And lastly is the thing that makes the nails work, believe it or not its rubbing alcohol.

To prepare…
There isn’t really much that you need to do, but there is one really important step and that needs to cut the news paper into little rectangles. These rectangles need to be about a centimeter long and wide. Of course this all depends on the length of your nails. You should always be careful of making sure that the newspaper squares are the correct length, because the pieces can’t be too big or small they have to fit just right. You will have trouble if you don’t double check. Then another little tip is setting up a station type thing for your rubbing alcohol. The reason why you need to do this is because you are going to be dipping your nail in it so you need to make sure you can fit your nail in it. I usually just pour a little bit in the cap/lid of the rubbing alcohol bottle and that I think works the best. Then you should be ready to go.

Now the fun part...
Once you have your rubbing alcohol station set up and your newspaper cut out to the perfect length, you can start by painting you’re nails with the color you picked. Once this is done and your nails are completely dried then you may dip one finger in then quickly grab one of the little squares of news paper and stick it on. Wait a couple seconds then you can take it off. You should see that the ink has transferred. After finished all nails then add a base coat. Adding a base coat is very important, it makes sure that none of the ink rubs off. Then your nails can dry and they will be complete.

I hope you like this technique as much as I do. I thought it was pretty cool. Thanks for reading. I hope you were or will be successful with this and remember to comment, subscribe and suggest other ideas.

Smokey Eye

In this blog post I want to show you how to do a smokey eye. The smokey eye look is a dramatic look so if you like to look dramatic you may want to try this. Personally I don't do the smokey eye look, well first of all I don't even wear makeup, and this is one of the popular looks in makeup so I would try it.

What you will need...

To start with, grab a primer. I recommend the primer but it's ok if you don't have any. Then an eyeliner. It doesn't matter what kind but I would not recommend liquid eyeliner. Of course you will need eye shadow, preferably a dark colour like grey or black. I would use grey or black but what you could do is use a shade that matches your eyes. If you have blue eyes you should stay away from blue and stick with more earthy shades like browns with a slight purple base, taupe, and slate coloured Gray's. For brown, you can basically get away with anything. Maybe try green and pink. For green and hazel eyes, go with lots of purple to be dramatic but if you want a calmer colour use mocha.

To prepare:

For makeup there isn't really much to prepare for. All I would say for preparing. Basically I’ll show you what brush to use for applying primer and I would teach you how to apply it but I'm sure you already know how. The brush is a 187. Don't worry if you don't know what it looks like I will post a picture and hopefully that helps. The second thing might just simply be you don't want to go buy a brush or if your too lazy to get one or something. So if that's the case then you may use your finger.

- #187 makeup brush

Now I think we should be ready to start. First is the eye liner. I find that purple eyeliner makes a gorgeous smokey eye. and you also want to make the liner thicker through the middle. After applying eyeliner on your bottom lashes with a pencil liner, take your finger and smudge it to give the full smokey eye affect. Now apply a base coat. Make sure the base coat is a lighter shade than your shadow. Apply it over your lids to the brow bone.
Now that you have the base it’s time to get the smoky eye look. Take a darker color and blend them together. Note to make sure that the darker color stays below the crease. The next step is small but is greatly needed. Double check both eyes, make sure they are evenly blended and look the same. Then finally finish with overall coats of mascara. You want you’re lashes to look thick and full. Then curl with and eye lash curler, and your good to go.

I hope you like this look and I hope I’m doing a good job with these tutorials. All I would like to say is please remember to leave comments and suggestions on a tutorial you may want me to do. And I think that all so thank you for reading and you’re suggestions. BI!

Curling Your Hair with a Straightening Iron

For my third blog I want to try and teach you how to curl your hair with a flat iron. I personally love doing this for many, many different reasons. For one I say it works far better than a curling iron. It also takes less time. I'm not sure if it's really easy but I found it easy after I've gotten used to it. If you don't get it I will make sure to post a video on how to do it.

What you will need...
The tools you must have to do this is a flat iron of course. People say that you need a certain kind but you don't. I prefer one from the salon but they do cost allot more money, around 100$-300$. If you don't have one from the salon that's ok too. the next thing you must have is a clip like one that can hold allot of your hair.
You will need a comb or brush. The things you could use for best results would be hairspray which you would be applying at the very end. Next I'd get bobby pins and heat protection spray then your good to go.

Ok Now we prepare. To prepare you would grab your heat protection spray and sprat it all over your hair. I like to spray it in layers so you could do that too. I don't like to spray too much though because i find that if you do the iron sticks to your hair and it doesn't slide very well through the iron so therefore your hair wont turn out. Then make sure your iron is plugged in and set on the highest heat. While you wait for that, take half of your hair and clip it at the top of your head, that way you get 2 layers of full curled hair.

Finally we can start. this may be hard to explain since I am writing and not actually showing it to you so I'm sorry if you don't get it but I will make sure to post the "how to" video. So the first step you will want to take a small strand of your hair and close the iron at the top of the strand of hair. Then twist the iron so the hair is wrapped in it. After that then you just pull it through the iron and it should turn out to be a nice curl.

Finish up the rest of your head then I like to bobby pin some of my hair down if its sticking up and that works really well. Then I would put in a little bit of hairspray to make it stay. Then you just listen to the compliments. I hope you liked my 2nd tutorial and learnt some great techniques. Then I will be back soon to teach you more.

Cookie Monster Nails

What I would like to do my first tutorial on is these cookie monster nails I have created. These nails are really easy and fun to do. When I was finished these I fell in love with them. They look allot like professional gel nails but really they aren't. To make these nails it will probably take 1/2 hour max. I will show you step by step to make them easy, fun and very cool.

   Now what you will need:
For best results I'd use a nail file, and a cuticle pushing back tool. If you don't have one then I suggest you still push back your cuticles with your nails. I find many people say "OW that hurts" when I'm pushing back their cuticles, and I just simply reply no it doesn't. Then they have nothing else to say because it does not hurt. Ok so the next thing I would suggest is toothpicks. I found that while using toothpicks for details works very well. Then of you have a ball point tool, I would use that for eyes. Now for the things you must have to do this tutorial are, obviously several colours of nail polish, such as cookie monster blue, black, white and a base or clear coat polish. If you really wanted to you could also switch up the tutorial by substituting the blue with red to make Elmo.

Now I will move on to preparing. For starters, make sure you have no other nail polish from the last time on your nails. Then I would file for the nails that I want to look professional, and the way you want to file them is getting them as straight as you can at the top. Then just give them a quick rinse and apply your base coat. The base coat is just a clear coat you put on. Once you cover all of these we will be ready to start.

Ok we shall begin... The first step would be applying your cookie monster blue. and remember we are layering so paint the full nail blue and let it dry fully. Next take your white nail polish and your ballpoint tool and add eyes, let those dry. While your waiting you can start with the mouth. To make the mouth you take you're toothpick, dip it in the black nail polish and start drawing on the mouth. These will take a while to dry so I usually start on the blue and white french tips on the rest of the nails. The kind of nail polish I bought that is best for french tips is the white polish that comes with a brush that's shaped for a french tip, and I just found mine at a local drug store like mine was at shoppers drug mart. So they are pretty easy to find and if you don't have one use a toothpick. So just paint on your french tip then underneath paint on the blue outline like i did on the picture at the top of the page, and again just dip the toothpick in the nail polish and just pain away. by the time that's done, the drying should be too. That means you can paint on the pupils. Id use a toothpick for that too just so that the pupils aren't too big. Another thing I think looks cool is when i paint the pupils on so that he looks kind of dizzy looking or cross eyed.

Now we can finally finish. To finish just apply several clear coats and you're done. I hope everyone liked my tutorial and I hope I taught you something that you will use in the future. I would appreciate it if you could pass it on to others and we could educate everyone. So I hope you learned something and I will be back soon to teach you more. BI!
